PURPOSES SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION
To provide a wide array of support to various workgroups within the Team Services department including, but not limited to fleet maintenance, facilities maintenance, safety and training, human resources, and risk management.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to Team Services personnel as directed by the Vice President, Team Services.
- Directs no personnel.
- Cooperates and coordinates with all persons, within and outside the cooperative, and with all firms, organizations, consultants, and other groups as directed by the Vice President, Team Services or other Team Services personnel as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Learns about and assists with a wide range of duties within the fleet maintenance, facilities maintenance, safety and training, human resources, and risk management workgroups. Duties will be determined based on the workload and aptitudes of the intern.
- May assist in preparing routine correspondence, reports, and other information needed.
- May assist in maintaining and updating filing systems for any or all Team Services workgroups.
- May perform tasks such as basic fleet equipment maintenance, fleet equipment cleaning, power washing, painting, picking up trash on the property, maintaining landscaping beds, and preparing and organizing various materials.
- May assist other departments and workgroups across the cooperative.
- Operates company vehicles to perform various errands and tasks.
- Must maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding any cooperative, member, or employee information.
- Assists with the routine inspection of equipment.
- Assists with maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting various inventory counts.
- Attends and actively participates in employee safety meetings and other meetings.
- Cooperates and communicates with coworkers to maintain a safe and professional workplace.
- Requires ability and willingness to work in a wide variety of environmental conditions.
- Requires ability and willingness to work in a wide variety of postures and positions, and articulate extremities into hard-to-reach positions.
- Requires ability to lift light and medium loads frequently, and heavy loads occasionally with assistance.
- Requires ability and willingness to effectively operate (or learn to operate) mobile/electronic devices and various applications.
- Requires willingness and ability to work in a constant state of alertness and focus due to performing safety-sensitive functions, or functions that affect the safety of other employees and the public.
- Requires willingness to work aloft.
- Frequently relies on the full functionality of the five basic senses (touch, taste, smell, hear, see) including the ability to distinguish a full range of colors. These along with manual dexterity are required to maintain proper safety while performing the job requirements.
